I’ve put a quite a bit of weight on over the winter months, we are now into summer and I haven’t lost a pound; so I’m looking for a way to shed some of these excess pounds, if not all of them in the very near future.

I don’t want any fad diets; we all know they don’t work in the long run, they just mess with your metabolism and you always end up heavier as soon as soon as you come off the diet. I just something I can incorporate into part of a more healthy life-style.

I don’t want a diet where I have to think about food all day; obsessing over what I’m going to eat next, how many calories in this how many calories in that: it’s like a form of mental torture.

I’ve looked into lots of different ideas and the best that I’ve found is using yoga as part of a more healthy regime, something I can slot into my everyday activities.

Below is a little of the research I’ve put into yoga and weight loss and I must say from my research so far it looks very promising; so here are my findings and some personal recommendations, I will report back and let you know how I’m getting on; wish me luck.

I weighed in today (24th June) and I came in at a whopping 198 pounds (90 kilos), which means I need to lose at least 22 pounds (10 kilos) just to get back to the weight I was last summer, which was still overweight.
