Firstly, let me say that an aquaponic gardening system does not modify in any way the plants which are to be put in the netting pots.

No substances will be added to speed up their development and no extra assistance will be given for the crops to be available earlier than they would be if cultivated in the ground.

Exactly, what aquaponics does is just to change the earth for the water complete with nutrients obtained from the fish.

Therefore, if you are trying to find a system which will provide you with tomatoes in a couple of weeks, then you are looking at the right solution.

The aquaponic gardening system is all natural and organic, meaning that the plants will follow the regular stages of their development and will mature just as if they were grown in the garden.

So, in order to judge the time when you will have your first crop of vegetables, look on the package and see the amount of time that your plants need to mature in the ground as that is when you will have your first plants. (Your plants will often be ready for picking before the ones grown in your garden).

If you begin your aquaponic gardening venture now, remember: you will need to add, maybe 3 months to the date of your seed plan, as you will not be able to plant the seeds until the ammonia from the fish excrement becomes nourishing compounds and the process can take about 3 months.

No fertilizers or chemical substances which gardeners use in their normal gardening, to speed plant growth can be utilized as this will kill the fish and ultimately destroy your aquaponic venture, but you can skip those 3 months by placing nitrates in the water from the first days you purchase the fish tank.

Vegetables grown in aquaponic systems need as much time to establish as the ones grown in the ground, which ensures you delicious, healthy vegetables and completely organic.

So, there is no need to be suspicious or skeptical about the quality of the crops harvested through the aquaponic system.

They are as tasty and healthy as can be, often healthier than what you buy from the marketplace!
