What are Eco Friendly Fashion Products?

Eco friendly merchandise should be made using naturally green, organic conventions.

As we become more aware of the harmful effects that some ingredients can have on our bodies, many of us turn to natural recipes. As over the long run eco friendly fashion products are the safer way to go and you can be sure you body is free from most of the harms to some extent.

These days you will find hair care, skin care and beauty products as well as herbal remedies free from bulking and binding agents.

Eco friendly fashion products including beauty products like facial cleanser and toners often contain alcohol.

Eco Friendly Fashion Products

Natural based products will be free from such ingredients. These days many skin types react to chemicals and knowing your beauty and hair care products are free of these, already makes it that much easier.

Eco Friendly Gift Ideas

Another great thing about eco friendly fashion products and green brands is the products are cost effective.

Packaging will be minimal and they will be from other fancy extra’s and commercial frills.

The cost is purely for the product and nothing else.

– Eco friendly fashion products –

Another great benefit about Eco friendly fashion products and beauty wares is that with cleaner ingredients comes cleaner manufacturing.

Sustainable sourcing and Eco friendly processes are used to grow the ingredients and make the products.

[thrive_link color=’red’ link=’http://dailygreenpost.com/go/christmas-tips/’ target=’_blank’ size=’medium’ align=’aligncenter’]Christmas Tips and Ideas[/thrive_link]

Some firms may be even practicing green friendly working methods and trying to reduce their carbon print.

Try and research green brands and see how far they go with their Eco friendly practices. Small things such as using energy efficient light bulbs, recycling cartridges and switching off electrical equipment when not in use, this all helps.

Such practices should be employed in a brand that manufactures Eco friendly products.

It’s all about eco beauty these days and with the eco conscious consumers on the increase, there’s a lot more companies developing eco friendly beauty and heath products.

Eco Friendly Gift Ideas

Whether it’s a fad or more, many companies are extending the product portfolios and offering the “green customer” something that’s eco friendly.

This has almost added a new dimension to the health and beauty market. Although you can’t always be sure of the degree “greenness” and this could vary but overall you can be assured of some definite benefits.

Leading a healthy lifestyle these days is intrinsically linked to green living. It’s almost as if the two go together and in many ways they do.

As when leading a healthy lifestyle you will choose natural and organic and this is linked to green living.

So whatever you want to purchase do a little research and learn how it is made, manufactured and produced. Even if the items are spa products, accessories, cosmetics, beauty care or even garments, these days there will be a eco friendly option for all these categories.

So remember by buying eco friendly products you make a bigger choice and a more responsible one, you are choosing to share responsibility for the future our planet.

Brightly coloured flowers draw in butterflies in droves.

This means that flowers such as the ones below are a great choice:

Aster

Black-eyed Susans

Butterfly weed

Coreopsis

Goldenrod

Marigold

Purple Coneflower

Sunflower

Verbena

Zinnia

Discover more on Butterflies…

These are all well recognized Flowers that Attract Butterflies.

Flowers that Attract Butterflies – Little Fox

One more thing you could take into consideration when choosing Flowers that Attract Butterflies is the reason behind trying to entice our brilliant, colourful friends to our summer garden, is the nectar.

This is the vital food for butterflies so a garden that is filled with more nectar generating flowers is likely to win even more than its fare share of attention from the butterflies nearby.

The greater the choice of nectar creating flowers the higher the number of butterflies your yard is most likely to entice so make sure to plant plenty and prune them in a manner that produces the greatest flowers for the greatest effect.

In addition to the flowers in your summer garden there are other techniques that could be used to bring in butterflies to the delight of young and old alike.

One of those approaches is by putting many pieces of ripe fruit in your garden.
This is yet another thrill for butterflies to take pleasure in, and will definitely bring in lots more butterflies that might be in the area.

One thing to remember when planting to bring in butterflies is that they do enjoy worshipping the sunlight.

This implies that unethical kinds of yards aren’t best fit for enticing them and will not keep them long if it happens to do so.

Plant your butterfly garden in an area that benefits from the full force of the sun most of the day in order to entertain the most butterflies and bear in mind that different butterflies are enticed to different plants both as caterpillars and as butterflies.

Flowers that Attract Butterflies – Swallowtail

A little additional research might produce the finest results when seeking the most appropriate plants for your butterfly garden depending on the kind of butterflies you most intend to bring in.

Discover more on Butterflies…

You should also stay clear of utilizing pesticides in a garden using Flowers that Attract Butterflies .

It would not make sense to entice butterflies to your yard just to damage them with the nourishment they receive while paying your summer garden a brief visit.
Employ natural gardening methods in your butterfly garden for the greatest outcomes.
You must also make certain there is a source of water close at hand in order to keep the butterflies well hydrated.

They require water much like any sort of animal.

Several gardens these days add water features that keep the water moving (finest for staying clear of mosquito infestations) while having it easily available for the animals that we are intending to entice such as birds and butterflies.

Our summer time yards are an investment of both time and attention.

Discover more on Butterflies…

It is terrific when we can achieve even more than one beauty as the result of our hard work and effort.

A summer garden produced to attract butterflies is a wonderful method to accomplish simply that.

Flowers that Attract Butterflies is a very interesting subject you can get lots of information from Wikipedia.

When young children are in their play area, spilling over with toys they frequently retreat, not sure where to begin because of such an excessive choice.

More on recycling

So, often spend more time having fun with the box they came in.

I know I certainly did when I was a youngster.

It is necessary to purchase playthings that are durable and will last for a reasonable time.
Wood is an excellent material for toys but do make sure it’s: FSC-certified.
You won’t have to bother with harmful toxins when the youngster is teething and also the benefit is that it can last for a number of generations (enhancing that recycling for kids idea).

Fire engine – recycling for kids toys – daily green post

Fewer well-made toys will be a much better gift than more of low quality materials and workmanship.
What’s the sense in investing hard earned cash on a little something that is made so poorly it breaks down after the first time out of the box?

Bear in mind the age of the young child when acquiring a plaything.
Don’t give your children toys and games that are out of their age group. They only get frustrated at not be able to use it or end up breaking them; either way an unpleasant experience.

Remember, when you are recycling for kids, selling your children’s unwanted toys or outgrown toys on eBay, yard-sales etc, is a good way to recoup a little of your money while living a more green and eco-friendly way.

Here are a few pointers when choosing toys and games for your kids:

Durability

Quality

Workmanship

Sustainability

Age Proof

We can all make a difference to a greener environment; let’s start by recycling for kids toys, with their toys – number one on the list.

$600 million eco-resort comes a step closer

BY: ANGELA SAURINE From: News Limited Network

A $600 million eco-resort on Great Keppel Island in Queensland has come a step closer with the release of an environmental impact statement.

If the re-development is approved it will see a low-rise eco-tourism resort built over a 12 year period and will be the first major tourist development on the Great Barrier Reef in decades.

Tourism Queensland CEO said: the resort would bring hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars into the region and be a huge show of confidence in the future of the state’s $18 billion tourism industry.

Queensland – Shelving Beach

Developer Tower Holidays closed the original, iconic resort – which was known as a hedonistic singles party island – after buying it.

Its plans were scuttled by the Federal Government on environmental concerns three years ago and developers said government red tape was holding back investment in the industry.

Queensland’s tourism industry has struggled in the past two years following natural disasters such as the Brisbane floods, Cyclone Yasi and the Japan tsunami leading to a decline in tourists from one of the state’s biggest source markets.

I wish the Sunshine State all the luck with it’s endeavors.

The planet and it’s eco-systems are relying on more such enterprises.

I found a very interesting article on eco friendly holidays Queensland and reprinted it below.

I think you’ll find it well worth a read.

The term ecotourism was coined many years ago and the concept has gradually developed over the years. Eco travel has become more popular lately, partly thanks to the growing consumer interest in green alternatives.

Tourism can be damaging to areas when visitors do not respect their environment so a number of travel operators are looking for new ways to promote ecotourism and conservation in a number of destinations. The concept behind ecotourism aims to encourage travelers to be respectful towards their hosts and environment in general when travelling. Travelers are encouraged to get involved in conservation projects and take care not to let their presence in a region have a detrimental effect to the area or local people.

There are no fixed rules when it comes to eco tourism and eco holidays of all kinds are now available. An example of an eco holiday could be staying in some kind of off the grid facility or one where guests were encouraged to use energy and water saving devices to reduce their carbon footprint.
Others could involve visiting areas that have been the victim of a natural or man made disaster, where you can get involved by getting hands on with local conservation projects of all kinds. Eco holidays give travelers the opportunity for personal development and to develop an understanding of other cultures and customs. For a truly enriching holiday, try to get to know a place and its people in as much depth as possible.

There are a range of low impact activity eco holidays available, including adventure holidays, surfing and hiking, or alternatively you could go on an eco friendly safari holiday. When you are travelling you can assist local people to support themselves by always choosing to buy local produce and products rather than imported alternatives. This can make a real difference to communities that are finding it difficult to compete with the big tourist businesses that often often choose not to employ local people and do nothing to benefit local people. Buying imported items when on holiday does not help to support local businesses in the same way.

Many agencies providing eco trips and packages set aside a part of their profits to funding local conservation projects. This funding is hugely beneficial to the areas that receive it. It is a great feeling to depart a place you have enjoyed spending time in, knowing that you made a positive contribution during your stay.

If you are attracted to the idea of travelling in a way that respects the local people and helps to take care of the environment, then start planning your next holiday as an eco trip.

So, what do ecotourism holidays mean to you?

Ecotourism is the practice of bringing together sustainable travel practices that promote the conservation of protected natural areas while also benefiting local economies. Ecotourism as a concept began in the 1970s as a part of the larger environmental movement (see References 2). It has now grown into a significant sector of the tourism industry. People planning an eco-vacation can anticipate not only visiting beautiful landscapes but also being educated on the role of protecting biologically diverse areas and supporting local cultures and economies.

Conservation

Ecotourism holidays offers a unique opportunity for tourists to contribute to the conservation of protected habitats, wildlife refuges and parks. The money spent by tourists to visit protected natural areas helps raise funds to continue to protect those areas for future generations.

Impact on Local Economies

But there are potentially damaging chemicals such as solvents in commercial window cleaners, and each time you use them you are inhaling toxic chemicals, getting them on your skin, and putting them into the environment.

Besides, commercial window cleaners rarely provide the streak-free results they advertise.

Home-made recipes for window cleaners are not new; people needed to clean glass windows long before commercial sprays arrived.

However, home-made Eco friendly window cleaning solutions is a novel idea to many people of this generation.

This is one of those times that looking to the past could resolve some of our current issues.

Below are some economical, easy-to-make recipes for effective window cleaners.

You probably have some of these active ingredients on hand.

If not, these items are very affordable and they are diluted with water so they last a long. time.

Vinegar

No list of home-made cleansing items would be total without some. mention of vinegar, a germ killer and grease cutter in one.

White vinegar (not cider, balsamic or any of the other various vinegars) is responsible for that streak-free, clear glass we all want for our windows.

To give your windows a sparkling clean with just vinegar and water:

1 teaspoon/up to 1 tablespoon vinegar per 2 cups of water (don’t go too heavy on the vinegar as it could cause fogging).

Another option would be to integrate this mixture with: Liquid soap

To the above vinegar-water mixture, include 1/2 teaspoon Castile soap or various other naturally degradable fluid soaps.

Spray on, wipe with a soft fabric, to remove the cleaning solution.

Just using soap and water is a popular choice, as well:

Mix 1 tbsp Castile soap, which is made from saponified veggie oils and therefore ecologically friendly, with 2 cups of water.
Saturate a sponge in this soapy water and apply liberally to windows.
Make use of a squeegee to remove any surplus cleaning solution and wipe dry with crumpled newspaper or a soft fabric.

Eco friendly window cleaning lady

Soda water

Possibly, you have actually heard of soda water’s ability to remove stains.

But did you know, it can also be utilized to clean windows?

Mix 1 tablespoon white vinegar per cup of club soda and spray onto windows.

Using a soft cloth or crumpled paper, polish the glass to get streak-free windows.

Keep in mind that the best time to clean your windows is when they are cool – not when they are in direct sunlight.

If windows are in direct sunlight, glass cleaner (home-made or commercial) is likely to leave streaks or fogginess on the glass.

If you are serious about starting organic gardening and want someone to take you by the hand and help you to overcome any initial hurdles that you may be worried about then click the link above.

It is merely a way of farming that does not make use of any sort of artificial products which includes eco-friendly fertilizers and pesticides. In short, you deal with nature to obtain what you prefer.

When selecting the right vegetable to plant, knowing which of these are appropriate to your soil and temperature is important.

>>> Join the Green Revolution

If your home is an area that experiences droughts, purchase plants that do not consume too much water.

Prior to dropping your seeds into the soil, ensure the land is prepared by tilling the land so it is clear both of rocks and weeds.

The next step will be to bring garden compost, bone meal or rock phosphate and greensand to your soil to supply it with nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium.

If the pH level of the soil is too high, bring lime or sulphur to readjust it.

One more thing you need to do before planting the seeds is putting in natural eco-friendly fertilizer. You can use recycled leaves, grass clippings, coffee grounds, eggshells and kitchen area waste which ought to be applied a month prior to the start of planting.

Reminder: If you are serious about starting organic gardening and want someone to take you by the hand and help you to overcome any initial hurdles that you may be worried about then click the link below…
Grow You Own Organic Food

Now, it is time to plant the seeds.
Each seed has to be spaced by a certain distance so the roots do not fight for water.

Between each of the vegetables, you can easily plant additional things as well due to the fact that the tighter the space, the less the possibilities that weeds will grow.

Insects and bugs are the most significant threat to your natural garden.

>>> Join the Green Revolution

In your war against them, you can make use of birds, frogs or additional bugs. (Some bugs are gardeners friends).

Basically you make your environment as friendly as possible to the predators of the bugs that cause most of your problems.

You simply create an optimal environment, maybe placing a feeding table for birds or a little pond.

Now let them get to work by patrolling your yard and consuming those nasties who look to undo your all your hard work.

Putting up a few barriers can be of help.

Row covers are known to stop moths from landing and laying eggs. You can easily also utilize sticky traps and foil collars to stop pests and borers.

There are even some natural pesticides around but most of them can only eliminate one or 2 kinds of bugs.

So prior to buying them, ensure you recognize exactly what you are dealing with.

Yield rotation is the best means to protect the fertility of the soil. This is done after you gather your veggies, so it is ready for re-planting again.

For this to work, you have to plant a different vegetable than the one that was growing in this location last time.

Anyone can learn organic vegetable gardening essentials and quickly have their very own little organic farm in their own yard.

It is fresh and you can easily select the vegetable of your choice by taking a few steps into your garden; this is the reason we grow our own organic vegetables.

Should everybody get into organic vegetable gardening?

Not really possible, but for those of us who can: I think we should definitely make the effort, because it is so worthwhile.

>>> Join the Green Revolution

You will be amazed with a little forethought at how ingenious you can become at reusing and [easyazon_link asin=”B000QJEW9K” locale=”US” new_window=”default” tag=”glocaszon-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” nofollow=”default” popups=”default”]recycling[/easyazon_link] your disposable waste products.

So, to get you started here are 9 recycling tips at home that will make a big difference and save you some money.

How to Reuse Recyclables
by Dawn Walls-Thumma, Demand Media

Although preferable to sending trash to the landfill or incinerator, recycling still requires energy and produces waste by-products.

Because of these effects, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency considers waste prevention – activities that reduce the disposal and recycling of waste materials – the best way to reduce waste.

Reusing paper, jars and bottles destined for the [easyazon_link asin=”B001C94HY8″ locale=”US” new_window=”default” tag=”glocaszon-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” nofollow=”default” popups=”default”]Rubbermaid FG295673 Blue Medium Deskside Recycling Container with Universal Recycle Symbol, 28-1/8 qt Capacity, 14.4″ Length x 10.25″ Width x 15″ Height[/easyazon_link] not only eliminates the energy expenditures needed to recycle them but also the resources needed to produce the items you would use instead.

Courtesy WikiMedia

Shifting from recycling to reuse requires some creative thinking, but ultimately saves money and cuts waste.

Step 1:
Bottle your own water. Instead of buying new bottles each time you want a drink, save old bottles and refill them from the tap for the convenience of bottled water without the waste.

Step 2:
Save glass jars and bottles and use them for storage.

Step 3:
Keep a few extra plastic bags folded up in your purse or glove compartment in case you find yourself at a store without a reusable tote.

Step 4:
Reuse cardboard boxes, gift boxes, gift bags and paper bags for storage, gift-wrapping or wrapping parcels to send in the mail.

Step 5:
Shred paper or newspaper and use the shredded piles in place of foam peanuts as packaging material.

Step 6:
Cut in half paper printed on only one side. Staple it together to make notepads.

Step 7:
Use old coffee cans as flowerpots for houseplants. Yogurt cups and other small plastic containers work well for starting seeds in the spring.

Step 8:
Compost. Many of the items that you [easyazon_link asin=”B007ZF638G” locale=”US” new_window=”default” tag=”glocaszon-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” nofollow=”default” popups=”default”]recycle[/easyazon_link], such as paper and cardboard, can go into a compost pile, where they break down into a garden soil amendment rich in organic matter and nutrients.

You can also use cardboard to cover bare garden soil over the winter, preventing erosion.

Step 9:
Wash and reuse sturdy plastic cups and tableware.

Warnings

Do not reuse containers that hold hazardous products, such as pesticides or motor oil.
Follow instructions on the label to learn how to properly dispose of or recycle these containers and any leftover product.

What if you could find ways to be paid for recycling, I bet your children would soon become interested.

There are companies out there that will actually pay you for your rubbish, you won’t get rich on it, but how cool is it to be able to sell your garbage for real money.

I found an interesting article in the San Francisco Chronicle that I think you may find fascinating.

6 Things You Didn’t Know You Can Recycle For Money
Linda McMaken

Recycling is great for the planet, saves resources and basically helps clean up our world. Many of us know that we can recycle things like plastic, paper, glass bottles and metals. However, there are many other items that you probably didn’t know could be turned in for cash or a tax deduction. Here’s a list of a few of them.

Trash
A company called TerraCycle will pay for your trash. This program works best with schools or other non-profit organizations that can collect a lot of trash. The company will donate money to your cause for every piece of trash you send the organization.

Wine Corks
While this may seem a bit odd, cork is a heavily used resource and recycling them won’t make you rich, but they could definitely pay for a free bottle of wine. See eBay

Gift Cards
Many of us receive gift cards for a holiday or a birthday to a place we will never shop, eat or visit. If you have a few of those lying in a drawer you might consider trading them. Gift Card Rescue will take your unused gift cards and send you a check for them.

Cooking Oil
As odd as this seems, there are many recycling centers, biodiesel firms and individuals that will pay you for used cooking oil. Scan Craigslist in your area or search online.

[easyazon_link asin=”B001Q3KUA0″ locale=”US” new_window=”default” tag=”glocaszon-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” nofollow=”default” popups=”default”]9 Recycling Tips at Home[/easyazon_link]

Tennis Balls
There are 300 million tennis balls manufactured every year. They are made with a rubber that is not biodegradable creating over 20,000 metric tons of rubber waste a year. A small company, Rebounces, has come up with a solution. It has created a machine that “re-bounces” tennis balls, and will give you money for donated balls.

Human Hair
There is a lucrative, high-paying market for human hair. If you have long hair or the ability to grow it fast, you could be looking at some serious cash. Rates for unbleached, natural hair can range from $200 to well over $1,500 depending on shade, length and condition. Hair extension companies, wig makers, and even heirloom hair weavers will pay you for hair.

You can even find buyers of hair on eBay and Craigslist.

The Bottom Line
If you look around, almost everything we use can be recycled.

Most of it won’t bring you any cash or compensation, but if you take a few minutes to recycle it will save the planet from being overloaded with debris.

There is approximately 2.5 million pounds of e-waste created per year from our cell phones, computers and other electronic devices.

It is becoming necessary for everyone to seriously consider recycling electronics.

All of us should recycle as part of our daily routine whether it is for cash or for the sake of the environment.

More at… San Francisco Chronicle

[easyazon_link asin=”B000QJEW9K” locale=”US” new_window=”default” tag=”glocaszon-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” nofollow=”default” popups=”default”]9 Recycling Tips at Home[/easyazon_link]

So all in all, I think there is lot of ideas to fuel your imagination in this article, I hope you have found it useful and will inspire you to think of even more ways to recycle and reuse your waste items.

If you have anything to add to ‘1001 vinegar tips’; put your tips at the end of this post.

Vinegar – an earth friendly alternative to many chemicals

You can reduce the number of environmentally harsh and toxic chemicals used around your home by replacing them with more earth friendly, cheap and common substances such as vinegar.

Here are a bunch of handy vinegar tips to get you started.

Most table vinegar’s contain around 5 percent acetic acid. The most common types are White (usually made from corn) Malt (barley), Red Wine, white wine and apple cider vinegar.

Of these, probably the most versatile for non-consumption purposes is White vinegar.

White vinegar is incredibly cheap, particularly when bought in bulk and has a long shelf life.

Important note:
It appears that some brands of white vinegar may be derived from petroleum (crude oil) and fossil fuel products.
It’s important to check the label or with the manufacturer to ensure that the brand you buy doesn’t.

Handy vinegar tips

Note: spot test before going all out with any of the cleaning related tips below.

To remove calcium buildup on kettles and electric jugs, boil the kettle with half a cup of white vinegar and leave to soak for a while. Rinse with fresh water, reboil with same and your kettle should now be calcium deposit free.

Place a small container of vinegar in your toilet and bathroom to eliminate odors.

A half cup of vinegar added to a toilet bowl left overnight removes bowl odor.
The smell of the vinegar will also dissipate overnight.

A cotton ball soaked in vinegar and applied to bruises for an hour is said to speed up the healing process.

Vinegar on minor burns and many sorts of stings can alleviate pain.

For cleaning your dishwasher, vinegar frozen into ice cubes, then a couple added to the bottom of the dishwasher just prior to a cycle is an effective alternative to using heavy chemical cleaners.

It’s taken us a long time to really start embracing wind turbine technology; there probably wasn’t enough money in it for the big companies and corporations to make any real initiatives in the market. ( Maybe I am just being sceptical)

Over the course of the year, the global wind energy market has seen massive growth of around 20.6%, according to a report by Global-Data.

Whilst the growth of major wind power markets in places such as the US, Spain, France, and India are expected to slow down in coming years, it seems likely that emerging markets within Asia-Pacific and South/Central America will more than compensate for the loss.

Interested in Renewable Energy >> Click Here <<

The offshore wind power market is expected to take off in the near future, correlating with larger scale wind power projects becoming fully operational. At present, development is largely concentrated in Europe, accounting for over 3.2 gigawatts of offshore wind power capacity. Whilst this is a considerably large amount, offshore wind power only accounts for about 1.5% of the wind market at present. However, commercial offshore wind farms are currently in development, meaning capacity is expected to grow significantly, to approximately 52 gigawatts by 2020, representing about 7% of the total wind power market.

The growing popularity of offshore wind power is also having a positive impact on related markets. For example, the revenue of offshore turbine installation vessels increased by $140 million between 2006 and 2010, and is expected to reach $2,156.5 million by 2020. These vessels are an important part of larger offshore wind turbines, which explains their increasing demand. Around 12 new second-generation vessels are expected to be manufactured and installed in European seas by the end of 2013 to cater for the uptake of wind power.

Finally, the installed energy capacity of global wind energy has increased from 74,212 megawatts in 2006 to 238,351 megawatts at the end of 2011, with 40,714 megawatts coming online only last year. Taking into account the increasing investment from emerging economies, the installed capacity of global wind power will reach around 736,957 megawatts by 2020….

I discovered this video on youtube, it’s quite amazing – really!
Is this the ultimate wind turbine technology?

www.altaerosenergies.com – First public video of the 35-foot-wide Airborne Wind Turbine. The scale prototype harnessed strong winds up to 350 feet high to produce over twice the power of traditional wind turbines. The prototype was tested in Limestone Maine by Altaeros Energies, a wind energy company formed out of MIT. The Airborne Wind Turbine uses a helium-filled, inflatable shell to ascend to higher altitudes where winds are more consistent and over five times stronger than those reached by traditional tower-mounted turbines. The automated lifting technology is adapted from aerostats, industrial cousins of passenger blimps that for decades have lifted heavy communications and radar equipment into the air for long periods of time. Altaeros is developing its first product to reduce energy costs by up to 65 percent by displacing expensive fuel used to power diesel generators at remote industrial, military, and village sites.
When you see this level of ingenuity, it makes you realize that this planet of ours might just have a reasonable chance of having a bright future.

I think wind turbine technology has a long way to go yet, but when you see some of the discoveries being made it is very uplifting (excuse the pun).
